Tom Gore
Managing Director

Tom has almost two decades of experience in the field of international B2B conferencing and has worked at senior management level within some of the global industry’s leading companies. Prior to starting Advanced Conferences & Meetings in 2013, with its specialist focus on the market needs of the MENA region, Tom has enjoyed a successful career of launching and growing commercial events and brand portfolios in Europe, North America and Asia as well as developing dynamic and profitable events teams. He and his wife Kimberley have lived in Dubai since 2008.

Sarah Phillips
Head of Production

Sarah has been working in B2B events for the past 10 years with experience in Europe, North America, Australia and the Middle East. She started her events career in Marketing and quickly progressed to head up a team of conference marketers responsible for promoting B2B conferences globally. Sarah has a passion for sharing high quality commercially relevant event content and the communication that events facilitate. Prior to joining ACM as the Head of Production Sarah worked within the B2B Conference, exhibition and client side of the events industry as an Event Director and was the Managing Director of a Dubai based specialist event consultancy business for 4 years.  Sarah is responsible for event production strategy at ACM Events, if you stop her to chat she will generally share her latest topic brain-child or new event format idea.

Firaz Khalid
Head of Sales

Firaz began his career in international conference sales in 2003 and is considered one of the pioneers for the industry’s establishment in the GCC region. A natural and enthusiastic salesman and sales manager, Firaz brings to Advanced Conferences & Meetings both wide ranging commercial events experience from brands across the Middle East, Europe, India and Africa and a unique vision for the development and training of a truly client focused sales floor.  Sales aside, Firaz is famous for his addiction to chocolates and V8s.

Nisrine Aboulhosn
Head of Marketing

Nisrine has 18 years of regional marketing and team management experience and honed her extensive skills working in UAE, KSA, Lebanon and Bahrain. Fluent in Arabic, English and French, Nisrine brings extensive regional and cultural knowledge, as well as the latest international methods and standards to ACM’s communication channels.  Prior to her focus on B2B events, Nisrine was active in advertising, media and hospitality, leading the marketing efforts of top companies within those sectors. Nisrine combines strategic planning with flawless execution, and lives by the mantra “great things don’t come from comfort zones”. She is a people’s person and loves traveling the world and discovering new cultures.

Marie Barcelon
Head of Operations

Marie is a highly accomplished events management professional with a combined 17 years of experience in exhibitions, B2B conferences and consumer shows. Marie has been working in the UAE for 8 years, predominantly in the field of Events Operations and has overseen the successful delivery of numerous international conferences, gala dinners and awards ceremonies in the GCC, Asian and African regions. As Head of the ACM Operations team, Marie brings with her a famous attention to detail, impeccable on-site logistical and technical know-how and ensures seamless delivery with her seasoned problem solving skills.  As a key client-facing member of our team, Marie has a genuine love for ensuring first-class and memorable experiences at every ACM event.  Off duty, Marie likes to dabble in photography and is a social media enthusiast.
